πŸ‘ΆπŸΌ Did you know that a 12-week ultrasound is an important part of prenatal care?

🀰🏼 During the first trimester of pregnancy, a 12-week ultrasound can help confirm the pregnancy, estimate the due date, and check the fetal heartbeat. It's also an opportunity to detect any potential complications or abnormalities.

πŸ“· The ultrasound procedure uses high-frequency sound waves to create an image of the developing fetus. This image can help healthcare providers measure the size and position of the fetus, the amount of amniotic fluid in the uterus, and the thickness of the nuchal translucency, which is a layer of fluid at the back of the baby's neck that can be an indicator of chromosomal abnormalities.

πŸ‘¨β€βš•οΈ During the 12-week ultrasound, healthcare providers may also check for signs of a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy, as well as potential chromosomal abnormalities like Down syndrome.

πŸ’œ Overall, the 12-week ultrasound is an important tool in monitoring the health and development of a fetus during early pregnancy. Make sure to talk to your healthcare provider about scheduling this important test as part of your prenatal care.

What is episiotomy and how can Aniball help you to prevent it?

Episiotomy is a surgical incision made in the perineum, which is the area between the va**na and a**s, during childbirth to widen the va**nal opening and facilitate delivery of the baby. The incision is usually made midline or at an angle to the midline, and is usually repaired with stitches after the delivery is complete. Episiotomies were once a routine part of childbirth, but are now performed much less frequently, and only when medically necessary, as research has shown that routine episiotomies do not provide any significant benefits and can actually lead to more complications and discomfort for the mother during recovery.

By exercising with Aniball you can greatly reduces the risk of episiotomy or tearing during childbirth. Carefully designed set of exercises helps you to gain conscious control over your pelvic muscles, practice correct birthing positions, breathing, pushing, and relaxation techniques. You will learn how to consciously relax your pelvic muscles, so they are ready for the intense expansion during delivery.
It helps you to push and breathe safely so you can get through the labour naturally and with minimal medical intervention.

Another amazing Aniball review from Stephanie - big thanks for sharing.
"I had a very positive experience with using the Aniball. I tried to use it most days in the final four weeks of pregnancy for approximately 15min a day and believe it made a huge difference to my postpartum recovery - I will definitely be using it again when we are ready for a second and have since been recommending it to many mums-to-be.

I ended up having a complicated assisted delivery requiring the ventouse and a lot of external force due to our wee boy's shoulder becoming stuck on the way out. Following the delivery the doctor and midwives prepared themselves for the 'fix up job' and were absolutely shocked to find I needed nothing more than two small internal stitches. As a result I experienced very little discomfort (or incontinence of any form) in the days after birth. Now at 7 weeks postpartum my body feels completely back to its usual pre-baby self. In addition to the speedy recovery it also gave me confidence in how to engage the correct muscles whilst under the influence of the epidural which was incredibly valuable with the urgency required to get him out when things went pear shaped. Although it's always hard to know what my experience would have been if I had not used the Aniball I believe it made it huge difference and am very thankful to you and your team for this product. "

Have you ever wondered how a pregnancy test works? πŸ€”

Well, let me break it down for you. A pregnancy test works by detecting a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in a woman's urine. This hormone is produced by the placenta after a fertilised egg implants in the uterus.

When you take a pregnancy test, you simply hold the absorbent tip of the test in your urine stream for a few seconds or collect a urine sample in a clean container and dip the test into it. The test then uses special antibodies to detect the presence of hCG in your urine. If hCG is detected, the test will display a positive result, indicating that you are pregnant. If no hCG is detected, the test will display a negative result.

It's important to note that not all pregnancy tests are created equal, and some are more sensitive than others. So if you think you might be pregnant but get a negative result, it's always a good idea to wait a few days and try again with a different test or to consult with your healthcare provider.

What is your experience with pregnancy tests? Have they worked accurately for you? Let me know in the comments below ❀️

How does your body change during pregnancy?

The amazing changes a woman's body goes through during pregnancy are nothing short of miraculous. From growing a tiny human to developing new organs, the female body is a wonder to behold.

Did you know that during pregnancy, a woman's uterus can expand up to 500 times its normal size? Or that the body produces up to 50% more blood to nourish the growing baby? As the baby grows, a woman's body also must adjust to accommodate the extra weight and pressure. This can lead to physical changes such as stretch marks, back pain or swollen feet. Many women also swear they feet got one size bigger after pregnancy. Your hormones affect the quality of your skin, nails and hair. Your breast might be getting swollen and sensitive, your pelvic floor can weaken and your perineum might tear during the birth.

There is so much going on for pregnant women. You might be even going through a process of grieving your old life and old body. The support and understanding of your closest people is crucial and all these changes are worth it when you get to meet the love of your life.

Aniball can help you with some of these changes. By exercising with Aniball, you can prevent the risk of perineal tearing, avoid episiotomy and restore your pelvic floor postpartum. It can also help to prevent stress incontinence.

When does your baby's heart start to beat?
Did you know that the development of a baby's heart begins just 3 weeks after conception? By week 6, the tiny heart tube starts to beat, pumping blood and circulating nutrients throughout the developing embryo. This amazing milestone is a sign of life and sets the foundation for the baby's growth and development. As the pregnancy progresses, the heart continues to grow and evolve, forming into its complex four-chambered structure. It's truly incredible how such a vital organ can start as a small tube and develop into the engine that drives our bodies. Let's marvel at the beauty of life and the wonders of the human body!

What is a placenta and why is it so important for your baby?

The human placenta is an organ that forms during pregnancy and is attached to the uterine wall. It is responsible for providing oxygen, nutrients, and other essential substances to the developing fetus and removing waste products. The placenta also plays a key role in protecting the fetus from harmful substances and infections.

The placenta develops from the same cells that form the fetus, and it begins to form soon after fertilization. It is composed of both maternal and fetal tissue.

During pregnancy, the placenta grows and changes to accommodate the increasing needs of the developing fetus. It secretes hormones that help to maintain the pregnancy and regulate the mother's metabolism.

After the baby is born, the placenta is delivered as the afterbirth. The placenta is typically examined by healthcare professionals to ensure that it has been fully expelled and to check for any abnormalities.
