Rehab Trainer qualified and personal experience with Post Concussion Syndrome, ACL reconstruction & back injury. Training available to suit every individuals Goals; should Amanda think your Goals are better suited to another PT or she cant cater for your needs time wise, she is more than happy to refer to another great Coach! Amanda specialises in Lifestyle Coaching (maintainable & realistic training, nutritional guidance and balancing general life demands), weightloss; fitness; event prep (basic events); injury prevention & rehab (most injuries, but has allied physios she works alongside) and General Health & Wellbeing.

Shout out to David (Classical Acupunture) he has had one of the fastest & best recoveries back from an ACL🦿Reconstruction just over 6months ago, taking the advice of Raw Physio and myself as his Trainer….

However he had a bit of a woopsies on his bike the other day (he will say ‘riding like a teenager😜’), whilst he tweaked the knee, the Reconstruction is in tact and not comprimised.

We had a week off to let any inflammation settle….. now back on the strength Train and he will be back doing agility work again soon enough.

Set backs, are just that…but how we bounce back is what makes all the difference, mindset and support are the key 🌟

Form on point & how about that nervous system with the balance on this one 👌

One for all to listen to, but especially Trainers and Women of all ages.

With all the ‘self-proclaimed’ social media influences in our industry….you have to make sure your being influenced by those from a field of knowledge and actual scientific evidence 👌.

So good and most importantly what im trying to provide my clients…..within reason around their ability and other factors.

👩‍🔬The one scientific evidence that doesnt change…🏋️STRENGTH TRAINING is beneficial for ALL.

🏋️ Train hard/heavy for a ‘short time’ and be consistent 👌….dont need to smash the cardio if your not training for anything specific….by all
means if you enjoy, go for it…but HR^ is more than acheivable with strength training 💪

⚖️ Sleep💤/Strength🏋️/Nutrtion🥑 & the hardest one for many including me…STRESS😖 (life/work/environment).

It’s the Silly 😜 season when life just feels more rushed and busy with work, kids sport and life

🏋️Training v Rest🧘

Both these tools have benefit in our Health + Fitness journey….

Many days are spent Lifting🏋️, for both physical and mental benefit, but you can never rollout too much…

Some days you have to know when stopping completely or at most just going for a walk and 20mins Foamroller is actually more beneficial than Training.

Being in tune with yourself is super important, dont get lost in the whirlwind of ‘Training more’ is the key to best performance.

🚨Being at your best, is about a balance of Training🏋️, Rest🧘, Nutrition🍳, Mental state😮‍💨
and Sleep 💤.

I myself have had a harsh lesson the past few years, but from that tough journey physically/mentally i have learnt to be far more in tune with myself than ever, dont get me wrong it comes with moments of anxiety and rushing woman (mum) syndrome, but at the same time I am getting better at stopping when I need to and checking in with myself 🧘🏻‍♀️.

This guy has had one of the best ACL🦿 recoveries ive witnessed, between physio & training with me he is back into adventure racing only 20wks post Surgery 👌.

Ohhhh how the tables have turned….Gary from Concussion Care was there at the start of my PCS🧠 Journey and played a massive role in my first 3months recovery/brain re-train, before Hibiscus Neuro Rehab continued me on my journey back to a good life 💫

Feel better everytime.

More times than not i end up doing an extra 10-15mins, so set maintainable and achievable goals and not only are you not dissapointed in yourself, but you do more than planned. Win Win!
