The Zeja Story...

Hello Beauty-full!

This is my story... My name is Nicqui Kurzeja, I live in the gorgeous seaside village of Mapua, near Nelson. I am the owner/operater of zeja Botanicals and I handcraft Simply Beautiful Beautifully Simple Natural Skincare in Boutique Batches.

The journey with my business was kickstarted by accident (literally) when we lived in Auckland in 2016. I fell down some stairs, >face plant, >hospital >2.5 cm laceration to face and shortly after, named my first and Hero product – INTENSE FACE PLANT... primarily formulated to reduce my scarring but it has proven to be the most insanely nourishing & rejuvenating product ever!! Hence it IS my Hero!

At that time I was working as a qualified Mental Health practitioner, passionate about helping people heal on the inside. External wellness flows to the internal and helping customers achieve Balanced Nourished Glowing Skin, is a foundational part of the process . The focus of Zeja has very much been on the ritual and psychological aspect of natural wholistic self care, using mood elevating and calming pure essential oils, while also my grounding my philosophies in eco-sustainability and authenticity.
