Metta, the philosophy and practice of universal kindness and love. Metta is a Pali word which means "loving kindness". Combined, Metta Yoga can help to create a balanced outlook, providing opportunities for you to flourish, all while creating a healthy and strong body. I have been teaching yoga since 2007 and am a fully qualified and accredited teacher through Power Living Australia, as well as Yin Yoga through Bernie Clark Vancouver. I am able to offer Vinyasa, Power yoga and Yin Yoga; Yoga for core strength, yoga for stress management, yoga for a strong and supple body, yoga for calm and centering, yoga for life. Whatever you would like to achieve through your practice of yoga, we are here for you. We offer a Vinyasa Flow, to open the body, rid ourselves of the daily stress by flowing the body through a series of poses which flow from one into the other with the breath. We end class with a meditation session. Power Yoga is vinyasa (astanga) with a little more emphasis on empowering the body and the mind. Both Vinyasa Flow and Power Yoga are vigorous practices that are accessible to anyone. We also offer a deep, meditative Yin practice to open the body, the energy meridians and chakras. "When I first met Amanda I liked her immediately, she was friendly and radiated positive vibes. Two years on and she hasn’t changed. Amanda is a wonderful yoga teacher. She always greets you with a warm, welcoming smile before each class, and in her class there’s always a relaxed (non-judgemental) and friendly atmosphere. People of all levels respond to her easy-going manner and fun teaching style. She also pays attention to us so that we’re challenged, but never feel out of our depth - encouraging us all to give it a try! Amanda makes yoga accessible. Impact: Threat to life from flying items and falling trees. Destructive winds will cause widespread damage including powerlines and roofs, with dangerous driving conditions and significant disruption to transport and power supply.
Action: Stay indoors or seek sturdy shelter away from trees. Avoid travel. Be ready for power and communication outages. Preparedness advice.

Impact: Streams and rivers may rise rapidly. Surface flooding, slips, and difficult driving conditions possible.

**🌟 A Gentle Shift for a Sweet Ending 🌟**

As our beautiful Metta Yoga Studio winds down for the year and I prepare for a move, we're moving into a more intentional and cosy phase of practice.

To ensure we can hold the perfect space for you, **all classes for the rest of the year will now be available by booking only.** We'll also be gently tweaking the schedule to match the rhythm of this season.

So, if you feel that inner call for stillness, strength, or soulful movement (or just a craving for some awesome yoga practice!) —don't wait! Secure your spot and let's share these final practices of the year together.

Real talk from the mat this morning: sometimes the universe sends you a cold, dark 6 a.m. class to test your resolve. Easy to feel discouraged and a little tearful then.

It’s in these moments that the dream feels heaviest. But it’s also in these moments that I remember what this studio is truly built on. It’s not built on perfect circuits or constant heat. It’s built on resilience. It’s built on the belief that showing up, even when it's hard, is a practice in itself.

Thank you for breathing through the darkness with me this morning. You guys are the reason this vision is so strong.

This chapter for Metta Yoga Studio is evolving, and I am listening to what it needs. I am trusting the process, even when it's this challenging, and I am so excited for the future we will build together.

Hello wonderful Metta community!

We're always listening to you and tuning our schedule to best suit the rhythms of our yogis' lives. To that end, we're making a small but powerful shift: we're focusing our energy on our most-loved class times.

This means our lunchtime classes will be taking a gentle pause, allowing us to pour even more love and intention into the sessions you frequent most—our energising morning flows and our deeply relaxing Yin practices.
