⭐️ Wairarapa Osteopathy is delighted to welcome our new Registered Osteopath David Good (M.Ost) ⭐️

David graduated from Auckland's Unitec with a Masters in Osteopathy in 2019 and has treated a broad range of patients in Auckland and the far North, before moving to the Wairarapa in 2024.

David was initially drawn to osteopathy both by its effectiveness and its versatility. He utilises a range of both direct and indirect techniques, allowing him to tailor his approach to best achieve his patients' goals, whether that is to recover from an acute sporting or work-related injury, manage more long-term chronic issues and conditions, or simply to move more confidently day-to-day. David's treatment philosophy revolves around the belief that every individual is unique, and the most effective outcomes are achieved through a collaborative and compassionate partnership between himself and the client.

Alongside his osteopathic training, David is a lifelong martial arts enthusiast and holds a number of Black Belts. This background has given him a deep appreciation for movement and body mechanics, which strongly influences his approach to treatment. He has also worked with regional and provincial rugby and football teams, giving him hands-on experience in managing acute sports injuries and supporting active individuals, including athletes and adolescents.

When David's not in clinic, you’ll often find him planning his next fishing or diving adventure, preparing a radio show or DJ set, training in martial arts, or enjoying time with his partner and daughter.

You can book online with David at www.wairarapaosteopathy.nz or call us on 021 024 20134 🌞

Wairarapa Osteopathy is taking part in a pilot research study investigating how patients respond to osteopathic treatment - using Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs). This research will create data which reflects patient's perspectives, enhances quality of care, and supports the development of further research.

This involves patients completing a short, anonymous online questionnaire at the start of their treatment, then three follow-up questionnaires at one week, six weeks and 12 weeks after their first treatment.

We are looking for 30 patients who are seeking treatment for a new symptom episode (either new patients or existing patients).
If you are interested in participating in this study, please contact us at info@wairarapaosteopathy.nz or phone/text 021 024 20134 for more information.

In Wellington at a lecture for my new subject on Quantitative Analysis, learning about statistics and how to design research studies. Feeling a bit overwhelmed as I haven’t done any maths since the final year of high school 27 years ago (!)

We've had lots of help trying to finish this puzzle in our waiting room, with some people coming in a few minutes early for their appointment, or even popping in on their way past to put in a few pieces 🧩

🌟 Registered Osteopath Kane Falconer: 🌟
As an osteopath, I enjoy working with people of all ages, supporting their health and wellbeing through every stage of life. I have a particular passion for treating babies and infants, helping them through common early-life challenges with gentle, effective care. I also value the opportunity to connect with my patients - building trust, understanding their needs, and working together toward better overall wellbeing.

I wanted to post about the Wairarapa Hospital today. We have just come out of an experience of having our daughter admitted after a serious medical event, thankfully she is home now and recovering ❤️‍🩹 .

There is a lot of negativity about the health system in the media, but I feel so grateful to have this hospital and the NZ health system available to us when we need it. The doctors and nurses are dedicated, highly trained professionals who really do an amazing job, and keep bringing kindness and empathy to each and every patient they come into contact with. I am so grateful for the care my daughter has received over the last week and for the fact that we have a national health system, as imperfect as it might be.
