Janine Aarsen - Independent Midwife I am a registered midwife providing pregnancy, labour and birth and postnatal care to women in Matam Hello and congratulations on your pregnancy!

I am a registered midwife providing care to women in Matamata and surrounding areas. I have four children and one granddaughter of my own and believe it to be a privilege to walk alongside women and their families during such a special time. I have an immense passion for partnership and continuity of care that I can provide throughout pregnancy, labour and birth and the postnatal period. I provide individualised care, informed choice and education ensuring women feel fully informed and empowered to make decisions for their journey. I trust and believe in each woman's ability to birth her baby and look forward to supporting women to achieve this.

Just a reminder PLEASE DO NOT come to clinic if you are unwell……. I have my first break in over a year coming up and I want to enjoy it. I also don’t have the option to call in to work sick……
I am in contact with newborns and pregnant women also and I would hate to pass on bugs to those that are vulnerable. So please reschedule X

So EXCITING update………… we found a house to use as our midwifery antenatal clinic and moved in over the weekend. We are in love with our house and happy to provide a space for you all to come and either be pregnant with us or just come and hang out.
You will find myself, Nicki Walford and Chris there, and in January we welcome Lalage.
We are excited about the change which gives us the ability to provide flexible appointment times/days and the care we as midwives aim to provide.
Can’t wait to see you all soon! We will be in touch prior to appointments to let you know address.

Disclaimer haha I have been trying to book a holiday that started in mid Feb but has now been pushed out to end of Feb because of all of my favs, returns and returns relatives getting pregnant!!!! I am the biggest softie on the planet xx
So please tell yourself or your sister or your best friend, friend, neighbour, neighbours dog, mothers cousins Aunty or anyone else you know I am going away very end of February for 2 weeks!!!! Please please do not get pregnant for the next 2 months and we will be all okay again!!!!! Haha xx 😘
