That exhaustion you can't shake? It's not just stress.
Most people assume chronic tiredness is a lifestyle problem — too busy, not enough sleep, too much on their plate.
But when rest doesn't fix it, there's usually something biological going on underneath.
Three things that quietly drain your energy and rarely get checked:
🩸 Blood sugar dysregulation — crashes, cravings, and that wired-but-tired feeling
💊 Nutrient depletion — ferritin, B12, vitamin D, and magnesium can all sit low-normal and still be draining you
🦋 Thyroid dysfunction — the great impersonator. Mimics stress, burnout, and depression so closely it's routinely missed
The frustrating part? All three can look completely normal on a standard blood test.
Normal and optimal are not the same thing.

If I had to improve my energy this week, I’d start here:
1. Prioritise sleep timing. Go to bed within the same 15–30 min window.

If heart disease was just about cholesterol, it would be easy.
Lower cholesterol = problem solved.
But biology is rarely that simple.
Risk builds when you combine cholesterol with:
• inflammation
• high insulin
• oxidative stress
• damaged fats
• poor metabolic health
This is why I never look at one marker alone when analysing blood work.
Your body is a system.
And systems always require context.

Recipe below...

Zucchini Pickle

Step 1 : Soak the following ingredients together for 2 hours

• 1.4 Kgs grated zucchini
• 2 medium brown onions finely chopped
• 1-2 red capsicums finely chopped
• ¼ cup salt
• Enough water to cover the mix

Step 2: In a pot put:

• 3 cups raw sugar
• 3 cups white vinegar
• 1 tbsp turmeric
• 3 tbsp yellow mustard seeds
• 1/2 tsp curry powder

Step 3: Bring to boil and boil above mixture for 5 minutes

Step 4: Add drained zucchini mixture and bring back to boil and boil for 2 mins.

Step 5: Thicken

Add 3 heaped tablespoons cornflour to some vinegar to make a wet paste. Put this into pot with zucchini and cook for 2-3 minutes to thicken.
Step 5: Place into sterilised jars.
