This position is perfect for someone eager to learn and committed to supporting our local community across all our services—from the dispensary to our retail floor.
As a Trainee Pharmacy Technician, you will be trained to conduct:
• Dispensary Support: Assist the Pharmacist with dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently, manage stock control, and prepare medicines under supervision.
• Retail & Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional advice and service on the retail floor, process sales, and assist customers with general health queries.

💰 What We Offer:
• Full Training Provided: No experience necessary! We will provide comprehensive on-the-job training in all aspects of pharmacy operations.
• All Training Expenses Covered: We will fully fund any required training courses or qualifications for this role.

🗓️ Working Hours:
This is a permanent 32 hours per week or 40 hours per week position. You must be available to work the following hours:
• Monday to Friday: 9am to 5 pm (flexibility with roster)
• No weekend or public holiday work.
• Start date: ASAP or can be discussed.

• You are reliable, punctual, and understand the importance of attention to detail in a healthcare setting.
• You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Suffering with Cold Sores?

Cold sores are caused by the Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) They are small fluid filled blisters that appear on the skin, usually on the lips, chin, cheeks or nostrils.

👉Infection is very common and is easily passed from person to person by close physical contact. A tingling or burning sensation is often present just before cold sores develop.

➕If you have had a previous diagnosis of Herpes that has resolved, and you are experiencing a new flare up, our trained pharmacist can help.

ℹ There is effective treatment to relieve the pain and discomfort for both Cold sores and Ge***al Herpes. Our trained Pharmacist can prescribe and dispense an Anti-Viral tablet called Valaciclovir to those 18yrs and older. A consult is required, and some exclusions do apply.

This is a Non-Funded service so a fee will apply for this service.

PRESCRIPTION CHARGES
You may have heard that prescription charges are changing from 1st July.
Your prescriptions will still be FREE from any Pharmacy if you:
* are 65 years and over, or
* have a Community Services Card, or
* are under 14 years of age, or
* have paid for 20 prescription items for you, or your family since 1st February.

Monthly repeats of funded medicines will still be free but medicines not funded by PHARMAC will still have their usual charges.

For any patients who do not fit above eligibility criteria for Free prescriptions, feel free to ask Pharmacy staff as we may be able to help cover your prescription costs.

You should have been sent a Community Services Card if you receive a benefit or payment from Work and Income. Your Doctor should code your prescription if you have a card, but if this doesn't happen and you forget to bring your card, we can look up the details for you.
