Last week I asked where you hold the most tension… and wow, the neck & shoulders won by a landslide 🫠

Honestly, no surprise there. It’s where stress loves to set up camp — long days, phones, driving, life… it all seems to pile up right there.

If you’ve been feeling that tight, heavy, “I need someone to wring me out like a towel” feeling — here are a couple of simple things you can do at home to ease it a little:

✨ Shoulder rolls + breath reset
Slowly roll your shoulders up, back, and down (like you’re trying to melt them away from your ears).
Pair it with a deep inhale through your nose… and a long exhale out your mouth.
Do this for 1–2 minutes and feel the shift.

✨ Warmth is your best friend
A hot shower hitting the back of your neck, or a warm wheat bag/heating pad across your shoulders can work magic.
Think of it as telling your muscles “hey… you can let go now.”

These won’t replace a massage (of course 😉), but they’re beautiful little ways to give your body some care in the meantime.

Your body is always talking to you — sometimes it just whispers through tension.

Hi everyone! I'm Carolane, the face you'll see here at Inner peace studio!

Ten years ago my world was metal, measurements and mechanical drawings.
I worked in mechanical engineering for almost a decade. I liked the precision, the problem solving, the structure.

Then I became a mum.
And something in me shifted.

I didn’t want to build machines anymore. I wanted to help people feel better in their bodies.
Engineering taught me how things fit together.
Massage taught me how tension holds together.
Changing paths was scary. It felt impractical. It felt uncertain.
But it also felt right.
Inner Peace Studio exists because I chose to listen to that quiet shift.
