To explain in more depth what Zen Shiatsu is ....It is a Japanese healing art. Throughout the body there are energy lines called meridians with acupressure points . Using pressure application and stimulating stretches. Areas lacking in vitality are held deeply, allowing flow to return. Blocked energy is encouraged to disperse through quicker penetrating movements. Dis-ease, imbalance and problematic symptoms may be alleviated.
Shiatsu is an art of being sensitive to subtle changes, supporting physical, mental, emotional and spiritual evolution.

I trained and gained my qualifications in Japan.
The Shiatsu massage I offer is a 1 hr or 1.1/2 hr full body, each massage tailored to the individual needs. It is a clothes on massage, using gentle yet dynamic releasing stretches. Working on the meridians (energy lines in the body) and pressure points can alleviate tension and pain, stimulate circulation, promote relaxation and rejuvenation.
