IRB Crew Module – 22 & 23 November 2025
Thinking about getting started in IRBs? This is your first step.
The IRB Crewpersons Module gives Surf Lifeguards the core knowledge and hands-on skills to operate as a crewperson in rescue situations.
📍 22 November – Red Beach
📍 23 November – Muriwai
Open to current refreshed Surf Lifeguards ready to step up.
Important notes:
- Candidate attendance is required at both days
- You must be a currently refreshed surf lifeguard
- You must be a current financial member of MVLS
- You must complete the IRB Crewperson Pre-learning module (available on etrainu)

The Jackman Classic is Back!

This Saturday, 4 October @ 10.00am. From Waipu to Mangawhai Heads.

You must be a qualified lifeguard to enter

Please report and sign in at the Waipu Surf Club by 9.15am.

Subject to conditions. Any changes will be posted Friday night on MHVLS page.

Hi-Viz top must be worn by all competitors.

Fantastic preseason Patrol Captain's catch up this morning. Not long now before the season starts, with observational weekend patrols starting on Saturday, 11th October!
