Healthy skin depends on three things:

• circulation
• oxygen delivery
• efficient cell turnover

When circulation slows, oxygen delivery drops and cell waste won’t be cleared efficiently.

One thing we talk about in almost every acne consultation is visualising a fly on the wall.

You could use a bazooka.
Yes, the fly is gone but so is the wall behind it.

Or you could use a fly swat.

Same result.
Far less damage.

This is often the difference between prescription vitamin A and a regulated form such as retinyl palmitate.

Not every skin concern needs a bazooka.

If your skin only behaves while you’re using something strong… what happens when you stop?

Prescription creams can absolutely have a place in skin treatment. But we often see is strong actives introduced before the skin is properly regulated.

When the barrier is already compromised, accelerating turnover or suppressing inflammation can lead to sensitivity, pigmentation, and long-term dependency.

Let’s prioritise restoring barrier integrity and balanced cell function before introducing stronger actives.

Our philosophy is correction without regulation is temporary. Function creates lasting change.

Acne is frequently treated reactively.

We often see escalated actives, repeated exfoliation, and ongoing correction introduced before the skin environment is stabilised.

Reactive treatment can further destabilise barrier function and prolong inflammatory cycles.

Skin revision takes a different approach.

Rather than forcing rapid change, we focus on restoring barrier integrity, supporting oxygenation, and normalising cellular turnover.

ACNE

Acne is often treated as excess oil or congestion.

But acne is an inflammatory skin disorder.

It involves:

• barrier impairment
• microbiome imbalance
• altered keratinisation
• amplified immune response

Correction without regulation can prolong the cycle.

Treatment begins by stabilising the skin environment.

Progress follows function.

It requires patience, consistency, and the right methodology.

It’s not the mite. It’s the immune response.

In some presentations of rosacea, an increased density of Demodex can be observed.

Demodex is a naturally occurring skin mite present on most adult skin part of our skins ecosystem.

Its presence is not the problem.

The issue is how the skin responds.

When barrier integrity is impaired and inflammation remains active, the immune response can become heightened.

This can contribute to persistent redness, bumps, and ongoing flare cycles.

The goal together is not elimination, it is restoring balance.

Our first recommendation is regulation.

This is why Enzyme Therapy is introduced strategically, not aggressively.

When used correctly, it:

• supports vascular function
• strengthens barrier integrity
• enhances oxygenation
• assists in restoring cellular communication

It is not about stimulation.

It is about restoring balance.

ROSACEA

A condition of dysregulated vascular and barrier function.

• vascular hyper-reactivity
• increased transepidermal water loss (TEWL)
• impaired barrier integrity
• amplified innate immune response

When barrier function is compromised, inflammation remains active. When capillaries are unstable, flushing continues.

This is why symptomatic “soothing” does not create stability.
