Happy New Year! Day 8 of my 12 Days of Christmas self-care tips.ββββββββββββββββββYou know it's a new year when all the TV ads are about weight loss, quitting smoking, and getting fit! π
But is this actually the best time of year to make big changes to your lifestyle? This time of year often means holidays, family gatherings, meals out, and so on. It's not the easiest time to start a diet, an exercise plan, a lifestyle change.
How about not starting a resolution right now, but making a plan instead for when life is more normal?
Maybe now is a good time to explore what you want to do in the year ahead. To think about changes you might want to make, to maybe even explore them, but not necessarily to start a resolution right now that might be impossible to keep if you're holidaying and relaxing.
Enjoy the break, and start the resolutions when they work for you. Be kind to yourself. Resolutions are not just for New Year π
