We provide numerous supportive services on a regular basis

If there is a situation causing you concern, we are available for advice, advocacy,
assistance, referral and support. The concern may be related to a health or social
need. Accredited Visiting Service: The Visiting Service is for people over 65, who live in
their own home, who no longer drive, who would like more company and who
are able to contribute to a mutually beneficial relationship. Total Mobility Scheme: Age Concern Napier is an approved agency for the Total
Mobility Scheme . Eligible individuals are entitled to discounts that give them 50
percent off transport fares with approved operators — up to a maximum of $25
per trip. Individuals wishing to access the scheme must meet the eligibility
criteria set by the NZ Transport Agency and adopted by Hawkes Bay Regional
Council
Excercise and Falls prevention programmes are held weekly, current
programmes are Tai Chi, Sit and Be Fit and Steady As You Go. Workshops are held on a regular basis throughout the year which include
Staying Safe, a theory driving course for senior drivers and Life Wthout Life
Without A Car,
Supermarket and general shopping are available weekly or monthly , group
transport in our 12 seater van
Assisted Supermarket Shopping is available for those who are unable to
independently shop
Transport is available for hospital out patient appointments and other medical
appointments upon request. Social Activities and outings are held on a regular basis with transport available
