Some exciting news! Qestral, Coastal View’s parent company, has been recognised at the 2026 World Ageing Festival, winning:

🏆 Operator of the Year – Residential Aged Care
🏆 Operator of the Year – Senior Living
🏆 Innovation of the Year – Health & Vitals Monitoring Solution (Spritely)

This builds on Qestral’s 2025 recognition, including Innovation of the Year – Active Ageing: Lifestyle Programme (TRILife) and the NZ Property Industry Award – Excellence, Best in Category (Aged Care and Retirement Villages).

These awards celebrate organisations shaping the future of ageing through quality care, thoughtful design, and innovation. For our residents, it reflects the care, lifestyle, and support experienced every day here at Coastal View.

Last month, our Walking Warriors headed out for another group walk, this time enjoying a loop around Nelson Airport. It was a great way to get some fresh air, keep moving, and take in the sights and sounds as planes came and went.

With a comfortable pace and plenty of chat along the way, everyone returned feeling energised and ready for the rest of the day.

Our village Gardening Club continues to flourish, now enjoying a new, bigger space that gives our green-fingered volunteers more room to grow and explore. With 14 dedicated volunteers, the club is buzzing with activity and creativity.

One of the highlights this season is our thriving tomato plants, which are already starting to bear fruit. The club is a wonderful way for everyone to connect with nature, share tips, and enjoy the satisfaction of seeing their efforts bloom.

🚁 From October '24 to September '25, residents and staff across Qestral villages, including Coastal View, came together to fundraise for the Westpac Chopper Appeal!

Thanks to market days, themed events, raffles, and presentations, our villages raised an incredible $48,735.91 to help this vital emergency rescue service. Many residents and staff had personal connections to the Chopper, making the campaign even more meaningful.

The campaign concluded with an official presentation, attended by representatives from Westpac and the local Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter Trust.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated—you’ve made a real difference! 💛
