I’m so excited to share that I am now an in-house Naturopath at BodyWise Dispensary, right here in the heart of Nelson 🤍

I’ll now be offering in-person consultations from BodyWise, creating personalised treatment plans and supporting you with all things health and wellbeing.

You’ll also find me in-store, helping customers navigate their supplement choices, answering questions, and offering guidance so you feel confident about what you’re taking and why.

It feels so special to be working alongside such a beautiful local dispensary and community. If you’ve been wanting in-person support, I would absolutely love to see you.

I will absolutely still be seeing clients online too, so if you’re not local, you can continue to work with me from anywhere 🤍

Please feel free to email me at hello@glonaturopathy.co.nz or pop into BodyWise and say hello.

Mirror, mirror on the wall... it’s actually your microbiome calling.

The old saying goes that your eyes are the windows to your soul, but I think your skin is the billboard for your gut. That radiant ‘skin glow’ people talk about? It isn’t just an expensive highlighter, foundation, or the newest moisturiser; it’s a reflection of a balanced internal ecosystem known as the Gut-Skin Axis.

Through the immune system and bloodstream, your gut and skin are constantly ‘DMing’ one another. But when your microbiome hits a state of dysbiosis, the signal breaks down and the conversation can get messy.

• The Inflammation Highway: An unhappy gut can lead to increased intestinal permeability (often called “leaky gut”). This allows pro-inflammatory markers to escape into the blood, eventually manifesting on your face as redness, acne, or sensitivity.

• The Nutrient Gatekeeper: Your gut is responsible for absorbing vitamins (such as A, E, and C) and minerals (like Zinc) that repair your skin barrier. If the gut isn’t happy, your skin goes hungry.

• The Stress Loop: Your gut produces neurotransmitters like serotonin. When your microbiome is stressed, your skin’s ability to heal and regenerate slows down.

The Bottom Line: You can’t scrub away a gut issue. If you want the mirror to show you clearer more vibrant skin, you have to start by being kind to the trillions of tiny roommates living in your digestive tract.

Of course, skin can be far more complex. This is why naturopaths can be so great. It’s important to have someone who can see these patterns and address the root cause rather than just the symptoms.🦠💗

Valentine’s Day isn’t just about flowers 🌸 it’s about nourishing your future, too. 💗

The foods you choose can play a powerful role in supporting hormone balance, egg and s***m health, and overall fertility. Think of it as fueling your body for the life you’re creating together; while still enjoying delicious, date-night worthy meals.

Swipe for the fertility-supportive grocery list, and don’t forget to share it with your partner.

Save this for later and tell me below: what are your favourite foods to enjoy around Valentine’s Day? Mine is dark chocolate, strawberries with a little nut butter. 🍫🍓

I don’t think we’re broken. I think we’re disconnected.

We’ve normalised disconnection from the body and earth, then wonder why anxiety and chronic illness is so common.

We’ve replaced sunlight with screens and real food with lifelong injections.

Reverting doesn’t mean going backward; it means returning. Returning to:

• Real food
• Presence over constant stimulation.
• Listening to the body instead of numbing it.

As a naturopath, my work is simply helping you bridge that gap. It’s about questioning what we’ve normalised and rebuilding a connection to our biology, one decision at a time.

Your health is not something to rush.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or disconnected from your body, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

GLO Naturopathy is a space to slow down, be heard, and work with your body not against it.
If you feel curious or called, I’d love to connect. ✨
