We will be closed from 15th March until 30th March for a much needed break.

You will still be able to book sessions online either side of these dates, and purchase vouchers online anytime (link in bio).

If you have been thinking about coming in, don’t miss out on the few appointments we have left before we close. Make sure you jump online and secure your spot if you want to squeeze in a session beforehand.

Bookings are also open for when we return, so you can lock in your post break sauna or ice bath now.

I will still be checking emails and messages intermittently, but responses may be a little slower than usual.

They are becoming widely recognised as a powerful support for whole body wellbeing.

Well overdue intro to the face behind R&R.
I go on about people needing to push themselves out of their comfort zones, whether it be in the ice bath or in the sauna… so it is about time I did it myself.

So here it is. My very overdue introduction.

Hi, I’m Georgia
I started R&R because when I first experienced ice baths and sauna, I honestly thought it was going to be another health fad I would try and move on from. Instead… I loved it. The feeling of doing something hard but so beneficial. Walking out feeling deeply relaxed, clear headed, and weirdly proud of myself.

My stress felt more manageable. I felt clearer. Stronger. More resilient. It gave me a mental shift I did not expect.

At the time, there was nothing like this available in New Plymouth. No dedicated contrast therapy space. No cosy little studio where you could come and reset. And I remember thinking… more people need to experience this.

So I started this little passion project. A space where people could come and choose their R. That is where the name R&R came from. I wanted people to decide what those R’s meant for them. Recovery. Relaxation. Resilience. Reset. Repair. Whatever you need in that season of life.

For those who do not know, I have a background in health care and still work alongside running R&R. It has definitely meant long days and late nights, but I wouldn’t change it. Starting something from square one on your own is hard, especially when you mix in a little imposter syndrome. There were plenty of moments where I thought… what am I actually doing?

But along the way I have met the most incredible, supportive people who have made this the most fulfilling experience. My family. My friends. And all of you amazing customers who to show up and support this space. I truly would not be here without you.

For now, this is me. Slightly out of my comfort zone. Practicing what I preach.

To our existing customers and future ones, thank you. If you book in, or already have, just know I appreciate it. Supporting a small business never goes unnoticed. Every booking helps keep this little space going, and I am so grateful for it 🤍

The start of a new year doesn’t need to mean going all in and setting unrealistic goals.

Real change happens by starting small and building habits that actually last.

That might look like one sauna session.

And then slowly building on it from there.
