How did you wake up today? Hitting snooze or feeling excited about life? My little one was on a sleepover so I took the opportunity to make a sunrise jog which was spectacular. But it hasn’t always been that way. If you’re looking for health cultivation tools or have a complex health issue you’re trying to navigate, I can help you find your way. Here's to celebrating wins!

Last year I was involved in a lengthy process to secure funding for treatment of PTSD with acupuncture for a client of mine with a large health insurance provider.

This involved a detailed collaboration between myself, my professional body and the family representative of my client. It included presenting reports and evidence in front of a legal tribunal hearing. We were overjoyed to hear in late December that we had WON!

The reason that I share this here is to spread the word that acupuncture is of great therapeutic assistance for many conditions that you might not be aware of - such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in this case.

I also work deeply with women's health issues, functional illnesses and complex, chronic diseases for example. I have decades of experience and certified training to ensure my treatments and advice are safe, relevant and of real benefit.

Please feel free to reach out to find out more.

Recently I have been reflecting a lot about transitions and changes. Seasons and cycles. They can be jarring and sudden or more gradual or painfully drawn out.

We have little control on many changes and they are an inevitable part of life. We can only control how we respond. My experience is that even the most tragic events are incredible opportunities for self-development – if you can bear it.

Sometimes we need to put a few things down in order to attend to them compassionately and to fully comprehend and embody the transition.

Here I stood in this photo 14 years ago after a year of building and transitioning into my acupuncture practice in New Plymouth. Fully leaving the safety net of full time employment and into the uncertainty that comes with starting a business.

A pause to enjoy and reflect on how far I had come. Blissfully unaware of all the transitions and changes I would face over the coming years. My practice would include hosting retreats in Austria and volunteering in Kenya, alongside running a private practice for a year. Before returning once again to New Zealand to transition from maiden to mother.

The past 7 years of growing my practice and sole parenting has been joyous, but at times an exercise of grit, patience and resilience. I have earned my silver hair

A couple of weeks ago I transitioned through a year of training which takes my understanding of complex and chronic disease to new levels. I am now starting my second year of intensive mentorship with the clever and wise Mel Hopper Koppelman at Synthesis Health ProLab and will now be offering my clients the opportunity to work with me at a deeper level than before.

If you feel inspired to improve your health in lasting ways. Feel free to reach out. I only have the capacity to take on a few clients at a time in this new approach.
