We have restrictions and have to limit numbers in the shop. Please phone first to make an appointment or ring the doorbell and we will get to you. And remember to wear your mask 😷

Hours are back to normal from Wednesday 8.30am to 5.00pm with Fridays till 1.00pm.

There will be no testing but we can offer contactless pick up and repairs.

We will be open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 1 pm by appointment only please. So please give us a call first 🤓

At Fitzroy optometrists we are excited to be celebrating 60 years as a family business. Ron Phillips and his wife Noeline started the practice in May 1961. Ron‘s daughter Anne and her husband Michael bought the business in 2011. We are proud to be carrying on family values and providing traditional customer service.

This photo shows what someone with astigmatism might see – while the photo on the right shows what a normal eye might see.

Astigmatism is when the cornea is slightly curved rather than completely round..

With astigmatism, light focuses on several points of the retina rather just one point. This is what people with Astigmatisms see vs those without.
An eye exam and prescription glasses/contacts are used to correct this.
