Measles cases have been confirmed in New Zealand. Please take a moment to check that you and your whānau are up to date with the MMR vaccine (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) — two doses protect about 99% of people. 💪

If you’re feeling unwell, please stay home and call your practice or Healthline for advice.

New Zealand currently has measles cases linked to overseas travel, and the risk of measles being brought back into New Zealand by travellers remains high. Immunisation is the best protection and will help to prevent the spread of measles in our local communities.
