I’ve been reflecting a lot on this term’s theme of Joy, and interestingly, my practice has shifted.
My body hasn’t wanted Pilates lately, instead it’s been craving gentle yoga.
Soft flows, slow stretches, mindful breathing.
There’s a wiseness in this… learning to listen to what my body and soul need, not what my ego wants or demands.
It’s ok to change. It’s ok to acknowledge that our bodies vary in what they need and want. We don’t have to do the same thing all the time. We are these beautiful, organic pieces of nature, and we need to honour that, and remember that.
