What an inspiring morning here in sunny Tijuana! I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Irving Rodríguez at Body Art Surgical, and I must say, his passion for patient care and attention to detail really stood out.

Dr. Irving shared his vision for combining artistry with surgical precision to help people look and feel their best. He’s warm, genuine, and deeply committed to safety and excellence — exactly the kind of professional I love working alongside.

I toured the facilities, met some of his wonderful team, and was impressed by the cleanliness, organisation, and the calm, supportive environment they’ve created for international patients.

I’m always researching reputable hospitals and surgeons for our medical tours, and this visit was definitely a highlight.

It’s Halloween week here in America, and the hotel has gone all out — even the staff are dressed up and looking fantastic! 🎃👻

Today we’re off on our San Diego trolley tour, and tomorrow we’re heading south of the border into Mexico. Can’t wait — it’s going to be a great couple of days! 🇲🇽✨

Ten days back from India… ten days in bed with the flu… and here I am now in sunny San Diego with a new group heading into cosmetic surgery week!

Just received a fantastic video from one of my lovely couples from the last India trip — they had their dental work done and couldn’t be happier. For anyone thinking about dental, I’ve just had an All-on-Six myself for only NZ$9,000.

Our next group heads over on 28 February, with both Claire and me es**rting. We already have people booked in for knees, hips, facelifts, and tummy tucks — so if you’ve been thinking about it, this could be your time!

After 2.5 weeks of surgeries ranging from hips to spines, knees to facelifts, and everything in between — nose jobs, b**b jobs, and brand-new teeth — we did it all.
Finally touched down in New Zealand on Saturday afternoon feeling victorious… only to have a tickle in my throat turn into a full-blown flu the moment I walked through the front door.
So for now I’m looking more “Hammer Horror” than Hollywood Glam — but once I’ve stopped resembling an extra from a spooky film, I’ll show you the new pearly whites.
Due to the privacy of our fabulous 12 clients, I can’t share their amazing transformation photos… so you’ll just have to make do with my holiday snaps from India instead.

Today’s a public holiday in India — Gandhi’s birthday! We’ve now got two people discharged and back at the hotel, and soon it’ll be a steady stream of everyone returning one by one for their recovery time. India may be chaotic and crowded, but it’s full of magic — the sounds, the smells, and above all, the smiles.

All going well in India. What began as plastic and orthopaedic surgery has somehow increased into a group trip to the dentist on top everythingelse. It’s so affordable here that we’re now all wandering around with shaved-down teeth, all waiting for veneers, caps and implants. Spirits are high, just wish the rain would give us a break. We have had knee replacements, hip replacements, tummy tuck, breast augmentations, and rhinoplasty talk about a varied group of surgeries

What a great day here in Taranaki at the New Plymouth Women’s Lifestyle Expo. We have been absolutely buzzing with people stopping by. Dental has definitely been the main topic of interest today, with a few questions about weight loss surgery as well. Such a good atmosphere and we had my lovely friend Dinah helping eith enquiries to round off the day.

Really good pricing on Air New Zealand at the moment to Los Angeles. I’ve got two spaces left for 22 October.
The sale ends on 5 September so payment is due on 4 September. However, you only need to pay for the airfares and you can pay the balance for Disneyland etc a week prior to departure and you pay for your surgery direct to the hospital, US$4499 for gastric sleeve

A word of caution about bariatric surgery overseas!

I’ve just read an article highlighting the dangers of some clinics in Turkey offering cheap “holiday packages” for weight loss surgery. While there are excellent surgeons and hospitals in Turkey — and I know of a highly skilled, accredited bariatric surgeon there who my friend uses — unfortunately, many of the cheaper options are targeting Kiwis with deals that can put people at serious risk.

This is exactly why I won’t ever place any of my clients into an unsafe or unaccredited situation. For the past three years, I’ve only worked with a trusted, accredited team in Mexico where standards are high and patients are in safe hands — and we’ve never had an issue.

When it comes to your health, please remember: accreditation and experience matter more than price. Don’t risk your life for a bargain.
