The Eye Place

To all my AMAZING patients,

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we inform you we have decided to close The Eye Place permanently.

The past six years have been full of highs and lows for us, and you, my awesome patients, have always kept me going. You’ve brought me laughs, smiles, tears and hugs and I will miss this place immensely.

Thank you all so much for your custom, kind words and amazing feedback over the years. This is a chapter I will remember for a long time to come but for now it is goodbye from us.

A special thank you to those of you (patients and passers-by) that have waved, smiled, laughed or shown off your fur babies to my little one, you made both her day and mine!

On the business end of things, I still have all your examination records and can send these to you or to your nominated optometrist. Please email admin@theeyeplace.co.nz to request these and I will get them to you as soon as I can.

At this stage I am not moving to another practice, but if you would like to be notified if/when I do then please let me know.

LEVEL 3

Following Ministry of Health guidelines, The Eye Place will be closed during this level three restriction

If you have purchased glasses from us recently there may unfortunately be a delay in production as the lab we use is located in Auckland. We will be in touch as soon as you are able to collect your new glasses

LEVEL TWO

We can open again!

However, it won’t quite be business as usual

We will be adopting a ‘one in store at a time’ policy to ensure your safety

This means you will need to book an appointment to come in to our store

To do this you can either email us at admin@theeyeplace.co.nz or phone 09 4260084, if we are unable to answer please leave your name, phone number and a brief message

Please inform us of the reason for your visit so we can book an appropriate time slot for you

If you would prefer not to make an appointment time you can drop in and see us during our opening times, however, please be aware that appointments will take priority so you could be in for a bit of a wait

We will be open the following days:

Thursday 14th 10am-4pm
Monday 18th 10am-4pm
Wednesday 20th 10am-4pm
Friday 22nd 10am-4pm

Contact tracing
We will be keeping records of everyone who enters our store
We will need your full name and a contact phone number

Physical distancing
We will be keeping 2m apart when viable to do so
If we need to be closer than 2m, for example, eye examinations or taking measurements for glasses, we will wear a mask and we will provide you with one also

We look forward to seeing all our customers again and hope you are all safe and well

GLASSES: We MAY be able to supply glasses under exceptional circumstances, please contact us to discuss

CONTACT LENSES: At this stage most of our suppliers are able to send them directly to you at no additional cost. If you are needing to purchase contact lenses please email admin@theeyeplace.co.nz and let us know your address and
how many boxes you are after

If you would like to be informed when we are open again, please send an email to admin@theeyeplace.co.nz with ‘Email Update List’ as the subject and we will send an email to you with this information as soon as we know.
