A korero with a friend a few weeks ago about our màmà who are in need of some indigenous healing led to a Plunket/Family Start hauora day on 23/08. A new friend who learnt Access Bars in her own country of South America was keen to awhi us. As usual, we always forget to take photos but the day was beautiful, the tamariki were playing and eating while we gave our mama our focus. Giving back to our community is always a great priviledge 🙏. The putiputi (flowers) from my beautiful friend is always forever grateful.

It's true for some, others like staying in their boxes. A colleague at my day job mahi celebrated 40 years, that scares the hell out of me but I get that for some, this is their comfort zone. There are benefits in being in the same job for this long and lets face it, in this day and age with restructuring and job loses, 40 years should be celebrated. We all make our choices in how we navigate our life pathways.
