Hi dear ones, this is my friend and fellow hypnotherapist, Jan from Napier. Want to share her mahi with you. Love and light Shirl ### https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17uvaE1KVz/
We all say we want change — but what most of us really want is to feel safe while changing.
The trouble is, the brain doesn’t separate safe from familiar.
It would rather stay in the loop it knows — even if that loop is painful — than risk stepping into something new.
That’s how comfort becomes a trap.
It starts as peace, becomes habit, and quietly turns into limitation.
This week, I’m sharing a short series called “Freedom vs Familiarity.”
It’s about the moments we confuse safety with stagnation, and comfort with peace.
It’s about habits, coping, and the deep courage it takes to move toward true freedom.
Because every time you choose awareness over autopilot, you show your mind a new kind of safety — one built on growth, not fear.
✨ Here’s to remembering that freedom doesn’t begin when life gets easier…
It begins when you stop settling for what’s familiar.
