At Naylor Palmer Optometry, our team is dedicated to providing exceptional care to our clients throughout the Manawatu and surrounding areas.

Then we have the perfect opportunity for you!

We’re looking for a bubbly, reliable, and friendly individual who is eager to learn and grow in the role of an optical assistant. This is a key role in our practice, where you'll work closely with both our wonderful clients and our highly skilled team, consisting of exceptional optometrists and dispensing opticians.
We’re seeking someone who brings:
• A professional and positive attitude
• A neat, tidy, and well-presented appearance
• Reliability and punctuality
• Motivation and initiative
• A desire to grow within the optical industry
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently
• Confidence working independently as well as collaboratively

This is a permanent position, with hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., either 24 or 32 hours per week, with the potential to transition to full-time for the right candidate.
Previous experience in the optical industry is not required, however, we're keen to hear if you have experience - we’re happy to train the right person who fits our team and values.
