What is our response to the suffering and cruelty we see all around us in our world? Discouragement, fear, grief, rage?
When we find ourselves caught up in painful, overwhelming minds is there anything that we can do?
Yes! Buddha explained how to keep the mind free from fear and anxiety and instead use difficult situations to cultivate inspiring views that help us keep calm and positive.

In this course we will explore practical approaches to the challenges we are facing and how to deal with changes with a less stressed and anxious mind.
We will learn how to grow our inner strength, peace of mind, and emotional resilience.
Through this training, rather than feeling discouraged by all the problems and pain we see around us and within us,
We discover a capacity to turn that negativity on its head and to actually use it to empower our mind.

The result is that instead of feeling stuck and helpless, we experience an inner ability to transform suffering into powerful, positive states of mind, such as love, compassion and joy.
This power enables us to not only grow spiritually, but also to create a deeply positive effect on those around us and even our world.

WHAT TO EXPECT
These classes are based on Buddha’s teachings on the mind, but you do not need to be a Buddhist to attend, or to benefit from them. There is no physical exercise involved and you can choose to sit either in a chair or on a cushion. These classes are suitable for all levels of experience.

Registration starts at 9:30am. This course includes a vegan, wheat-free morning tea (we cannot guarantee gluten-free).

Buddha Vajrapani is the Buddha of spiritual power, sometimes referred to as the Buddha of skillful means.
With the development of spiritual power, we possess the confidence, inner strength and skill not only to take on and defeat our own delusions, but to be of great benefit in helping free others from their delusions as well.
Nothing could be more meaningful.

The empowerment is a beautiful and inspiring guided meditation and ritual in which we are introduced to Buddha Vajrapani from whom we then receive many blessings, adding great power to our own practice as well as sowing seeds for our future attainment of enlightenment.

In the afternoon Kadam Birgit will give a commentary on the beautiful Ta***ic practice and sadhana of Buddha Vajrapani.

On Sunday you can join us for this unguided retreat following our empowerment. Buddha Vajrapani’s function is to destroy the delusions of living beings by bestowing special power upon their body and mind. By engaging in the self-generation sadhana (or ritual prayers for spiritual attainments) of Vajrapani we can destroy all our delusions,and eventually attain the union of great bliss and emptiness.

10.00 – 11.00am
11.30 – 12.30pm
1.30 – 2.30pm
3.00 – 4.00pm

WHAT TO EXPECT
Everyone is welcome and invited to join in.

On Saturday, we will be providing a vegan, wheat-free lunch (we cannot guarantee gluten-free).

On Sunday, there is no cost and no need to book (please register for the empowerment on Saturday). You do not need to attend all the retreat sessions – just come along as you are able. Please, bring your own vegetarian lunch if you would like to stay for the whole day. Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided.
