Hi everyone
I'm Allen, an acupuncturist with 6 years of experience. My older brother and sister are also acupuncturists, so you could say it runs in the family!

After COVID, I took some time to explore other career paths, but I eventually realised that acupuncture is truly where I belong. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping someone feel better and seeing their health improve.

Having gone through my own MTB injury, I’ve also come to appreciate how important it is to take care of our bodies not just to recover, but to live fully.

Excited to keep sharing my journey and tips for better health and recovery.

Lifestyle Tips from TCM for Constipation

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, constipation often happens when Qi (energy) in the body becomes stagnant or weak, especially in the Large Intestine.
Lack of movement, stress, or poor diet can slow the natural flow of Qi and make it harder for the body to eliminate waste.
Drink More Water- staying hydrated helps moistening the stools.
Eat fibre rich foods – veggies, fruits, oats, chia, and flaxseed help keep things moving.
Move your body – gentle walking or stretching supports bowel movement.
Avoid holding it in – respond to your body’s urge promptly.
Relax your mind – stress can slow digestion, so take a few deep breaths or meditate.
