Qi… so, what is Qi?
Qi is a basic concept in Chinese medicine and it’s what we assess in acupuncture.

Qi is the life force of our body. It’s a bit like the wind you can’t see it, but it exists and you can feel its effects.

Sometimes we explain Qi as energy, or even like oxygen something the body needs to function properly.

When someone has health issues, we often say there’s an imbalance in their Qi.

Acupuncture works by helping to rebalance Qi, supporting the body so it can function better and restore health.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, hip discomfort may be viewed as a sign of imbalance or stagnation affecting the channels that travel through the hip area.

Stress, sleep, digestion, lifestyle and movement patterns can all play a role in how the body feels which is why everyone is assessed individually in TCM rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

Hip discomfort is really common and it isn’t always caused by just one thing. Sometimes it relates to long periods of sitting, posture habits, tension, old injuries, or general muscle tightness.

If you’ve been noticing your hips feeling stiff, achy or tight, it may be your body’s way of asking for a little support and awareness.

Most health issues come up because we don't sleep during the normal times that our body needs to recover properly, that is why alot of people these days struggle with their health. If everyone can start practicing being asleep by 11pm.

For symptoms that persist contact us to try rebalance your body.

upper back tightness feels like a dull stiffness or heaviness between the shoulder blades, with mild soreness and reduced flexibility. The area may feel tender or achy when moving or stretching, similar to muscles waking up after light exercise.
