At the heart of the Daily Good story is locally owned company Red Shoots Ltd, who run the already globally successful brands, Good Cocktail Co and Lemon Fresh.

Red Shoots founders James and Rhona have been seeding the idea of Daily Good for many years alongside their partnership with Ranadi Organics, a Fiji farm owned by James’s family for three generations. Ranadi supply Red Shoots with nutrient rich, organically certified ginger and turmeric for Daily Good Tonics and their story is truly inspirational.

Ranadi appropriately translates to “queen” and is run entirely by local Fiji women, some of whom have been with the farm for more than 15 years. Ranadi not only nurtures incredible produce but also their staff, providing training courses and incentives to upskill in cultivation techniques and farming. Tupou the CEO of Ranadi says “If you are learning more each day you will love your work and in turn you will grow and the farm will grow”.

Tupou rose to being the CEO from her humble beginnings at the farm in 2004. She knows the farm better than anyone and has a great team behind her. “We invest in our workers. I have managers in charge of each team, we communicate each week but I like to let them do what they need to. I trust them. I know what is achievable and how much they can do. We work hard but fair” Tupou says.

Ranadi Organics is the largest Fijian farm to have organic certification, something they are extremely proud of “We faced so many challenges, it took six years to get everything right. We created our own processes and sustainable farming methods.” Says Tupou “We had the Fiji Government tell us we couldn’t plant here because of the soil but we did and now we have many other farmers and the government coming to us for advice instead! We are very proud of what we have achieved and the obstacles we have overcome”.

Ranadi puts heart and sole into their ginger and turmeric produce. “You’ve got to have the passion, the heart and the will” says Tupou. “If you have these, you will go far, anything is possible”.
