THIS ISN’T PARKINSON’S. 👀
It’s an unregulated nervous system.

Those shakes?
They can happen when your body is releasing stored stress.

When you’ve been running on:
⚡ pressure
⚡ cortisol
⚡ caffeine
⚡ “just push through it”

Your nervous system gets stuck in fight-or-flight.

Then the moment your body slows down…
it tries to shake the stress out.

Literally.

If it happens, try this:
• Slow nasal breathing
• Long exhales than inhales
• Feet grounded on the floor
• Let the shaking pass instead of fighting it

Your body isn’t broken.

It’s trying to regulate.

I’ve been though it and I’m still experiencing it on a day to day basis. It doesn’t magically go away but

Do you embrace Woo Woo? The Crown Pull looks weird.

Let’s not pretend.

But so does breathwork.
So does meditation.
So did cold plunging 10 years ago.

Now it’s mainstream.

If running your fingers across your scalp:
• Lowers stress
• Improves clarity
• Helps you respond instead of react

Why does it need to sound clinical for us to respect it?

Science matters.
But so does lived experience and so do the things we can’t see or even explain.

Hot take 🔥
Your ability to “look okay”
is NOT proof you are okay.

Brains are complex.
Healing isn’t aesthetic.
And coherence ≠ capacity.

Concussions. Neurodivergence. Nervous system overload.
None of it needs validation to be real.

Let’s stop gaslighting invisible struggles.
And start creating space for real recovery.

Invisible injuries are still injuries.

So maybe instead of questioning someone’s reality……listen.

Firstly a huge thankyou for so much support and the vulnerability of your sharing 💕

I honestly didn’t realise how serious concussion was.
Comments Like… “it’s just a knock to the head, get over it “

Im guessing that mindset usually comes from people who’ve never had a brain injury or like me in the past mild concussion that you hardly notice 🧠

The bruises healed fast.
My brain though is Still catching up.

And it’s been a humbling reminder that:
• Healing isn’t visible
• Your brain needs breaks, not pressure
• Rest is part of recovery, not weakness
• It’s not something you can push through

So if you’re pushing through fog, headaches, or exhaustion

Take a break before your body forces you too
Even if you think you don’t need it yet.

I’ve always worried about other people’s opinions of me but that’s changing.

As I embrace my unapologetic self, I’m learning this truth:
other people’s opinions and judgments are completely out of our control.

When we ruminate over them, they only intensify anxiety and uncertainty.

But the way we see ourselves?
That is within our control.

And that’s where real freedom begins.

What would your life look like if you didn’t care what others thought? It’s sure not easy but it’s going to be liberating!

Literally 5 mins to reset. Brew a cuppa and sit down without screens or your phone.

For those of you who don’t know, I run a tea company

Started after going through IVF and getting fed up with the “healthy” wellness teas that tasted like medicine.

Our star player is Tickety-Brew, the blue one, and it’s part of how I reset my nervous system. Perfect for a tea meditation and as a ritual before sleep.

I use tea a lot because regulation doesn’t need to be complicated.

Sometimes it just needs a mug and a moment. 🍵😮‍💨

5 minute Reset when things are feeling too much or you feel down.

Find your happy place, not forever, just for now. I do love that many of you find the ocean, lake or beach a happy place just like I do 🌊

It might be real, remembered, or quietly imagined. Maybe it was somewhere you went on holiday, your favourite beach, forest, mountain.

Close your eyes and picture yourself there.

Notice what your body feels like in that place.

Your nervous system responds to safety, even when it’s imagined.

You can return to this place whenever things feel like too much.

What place helps you soften, even a little?

💞the step-mums, the godmothers, the fur baby mums.

💓ones who mother with their presence, not always biology.

💕those who ache quietly—who’ve lost a mum, a child, a dream.

💖the ones who have held hope through IVF, loss, and longing.

💞the aunties, the sisters, the neighbours who show up with love.

Today was graduation day for my 300 hrs teacher training Something I never thought I would do but it’s been an increasingly journey of learning and discovery. A journey along with the most amazing women and such loving and supportive teachers 😍 it’s been wonderful to share the learning space with the cutest and chilled out dogs too 🐶
