Measles is highly contagious and can make you very sick. Anyone who isn't immune can catch it. Know the symptoms and act fast:
🔴 High fever
🔴 Cough, runny nose, sore watery pink eyes
🔴 Red rash that starts on the face and spreads

Not sure if you're fully immunised against measles? Check with your doctor or your Plunket/Well Child book to confirm you've had both MMR doses. Haven't had both or can't remember? Play it safe and get immunised, protect yourself and our whānau.

We're seeing increased measles cases across New Zealand. If you're unsure about your MMR vaccination status, now's the time to check. Those who need the vaccine include: children (2 doses at 12-15 months and 4-6 years), adults born after 1969 without proof of immunity, healthcare workers, and anyone travelling internationally. Measles is highly contagious and can lead to serious complications. Protect yourself and your whānau, please check your vaccination status or get vaccinated to protect yourself and everyone around you. Let's keep our community safe together.
