Changes to 12-month prescriptions
What’s changing and why:
From 1st of February, some people with stable, long-term health conditions might be able to get prescriptions that last up to 12 months.
This decision will be up to your Doctor or Prescriber.
For most people, there will be no change.
Remember, your safety and health come first. If your Doctor or Prescriber feel that staying with 3 month prescriptions is best for you, then they will have good reasons.
There is no change to how much of your medicine can be collected at a time. This is still limited to 3 months, even if you have a 12-month prescription.
If you have any questions, please talk to your Doctor or us at the Pharmacy.
