It’s been a busy start to the year in the treatment room, and a couple of lovely comments from clients recently stayed with me after their treatments…
"… I think everyone that is pregnant should experience this.”
And from another first-time client:
“I usually find it really hard to relax, but I felt so confident in you that I relaxed straight away.”
When our nervous system has been in a heightened or stressed state for a while, it can forget what deep relaxation actually feels like.
Reflexology helps guide the body back into the parasympathetic nervous system — often called the rest and restore state. This is when the body can slow down, regulate breathing and heart rate, support digestion, and begin its natural repair and healing processes.
Sometimes the body simply needs a nurturing environment, gentle touch, and the space to pause so the nervous system can remember how to settle again.
That moment when a client’s breathing softens, their shoulders drop, and the body lets go… that’s the reset.
And it’s always such a privilege to witness. ✨
