Hello all! Thank you for visiting the Franklin Anxiety Support page.

I am reminded daily of the huge need in the area of anxiety and depression. This page, and the services I provide, have been quiet recently....I have returned to study so that I can become registered as a psychologist. It is my heart to develop and provide ongoing and sustainable support for those who struggle (the vast majority of us will at some stage in their lives).

External factors are at play in these conditions such as life stressors, disconnection from things that make us thrive; there are biological factors that make us vulnerable such as genetics, anxiety sensitivity, and internal factors, such as our coping strategies and personality factors. But there is freedom with knowledge and tools.

I plan to expand and grow services to the Franklin community upon completion of my studies. In the meantime, please get help if you require input now; initially see your GP. Also, Anxiety NZ are a truly wonderful service.https://www.anxiety.org.nz/contact-us

Franklin Anxiety Support

Anxiety is a normal part of everyday life but in some people, if is not addressed, it can become impairing to everyday life. My goal is to give those who struggle with anxiety, tools, knowledge and support in order to reduce the likelihood of it interfering with the things you love about life! This 3-session education course is for adults struggling with anxiety. All content is backed by the latest scientific research. In the sessions you will learn:

Β· The Cognitive (thought based), Physiological (body based), and Behavioural symptoms of anxiety.

Β· The causes of anxiety.

Β· Tools to help reduce it.
