The story began when Mr Hargraves opened Hargraves Pharmacy on King Street. In the 1960s, a young Bob Liddell joined the team, later taking the reins and becoming the friendly, reliable pharmacist Pukekohe knew and loved. His commitment to genuine care set a standard that still guides the pharmacy today.
Now, owner Bahareh is proudly carrying that legacy into its fourth generation. She took over in 2019 — just six months before COVID and while heavily pregnant — and, with the support of a devoted team bringing more than 150 years of combined experience, Liddells has continued to grow and serve the community with heart 💪
Liddells Pharmacy is so much more than a place to pick up your medication. They offer free prescriptions, free deliveries 🚗💊 three times a week, blister packing, ear micro-suctioning, cryotherapy, heart-health screening (with cardiologist oversight) ❤️, a full travel clinic 🌏, strep-throat swabbing, and much more. Their Hardie’s supplement range even comes with complimentary naturopath support.
Many customers have recently avoided long waits at urgent care thanks to Liddells’ quick strep-throat testing — often in and out in just 20 minutes. That’s what real community care looks like.
