Using a workout method that involves moving through slow, precise, strength exercises with breath control, you are encouraged to incorporate your breath into each movement. As you move through the poses you will learn to synchronise your breath & movements gaining optimal flexibility & improved core strength. The level of intensity for each move is your choice. My name is Maria & I am the sole fitness instructor of BaseSix Fitness. With over 8 years of experience within the health & fitness industry, I hope to inspire you to experience & understand the benefits of having a strong core & stable body, no matter what stage of life or fitness level you are at.
BaseSix Fitness classes are a low impact, gentler work out that incorporates the stretching from Yoga, to enhance flexibility & your natural movement, & the core strength & conditioning exercises along with correct breathing technique from Pilates. It is suitable for all fitness levels with the class catering to beginners, elite athletes & everyone in-between. You have the power to choose the intensity of each move. I focus on building your core strength & flexibility by teaching you how to tailor each move to your ability. Whether you are at the beginners level of fitness or at the top of your game, I will guide you in the exercises best suited for you & your body.
BaseSix Fitness incorporates a range of moves & exercises from various areas of fitness & physical wellbeing.
I believe BOTH Yoga & Pilates are fantastic for your health & wellbeing & compliment each other wonderfully.
BaseSix Fitness brings certain aspects of Yoga & Pilates together to create a huge range of movements to enhance your life.
Low impact exercises are performed on a mat. Through a series of poses (downward dog, tree, warrior pose for example) we utilize your body weight as resistance.
The focus is to improve core strength, balance, flexibility, stability, mind-body connection & awareness.
We use a workout method that involves moving through slow, precise and strength exercises with breath control.
As we move through the poses, you are encouraged to incorporate your breath into each movement. Ideally your breath & movement will become synced.
I am available for private classes, personal training sessions, coffee groups, mums & bubs classes & special events.
