Stig's Army

Stig's Army I'm Stig, short for STIGMA. A symbol of strength, longevity, resilience, empathy, cooperative spirit, and loyalty. Elephants are a symbol of strength.

I've formed a CONNECTION army to help reduce isolation & vulnerability for our Wakatipu community in response to listening to our people. Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini:
‘My strength is not that of a single warrior but that of many.’
Kia ora,
We've established this CONNECTION ARMY to help reduce isolation and vulnerability for our community (non-military, non-hierarchical and non-religious). We’re praised for our size, longevity, resilience, empathy, cooperative spirit, and loyalty. Stig, a wellbeing motivator and community advocate, committed, loyal and passionate, has worked hard since 2018 alongside Stig's Army founder Mel Haarer. Seven years of personal loss and grief inspired Mel to voluntarily help others. Together we educate people how to best look after themselves and each other. Our work helps reduce STIGma attached to poor mental health and illness. We connect and work with local businesses, organisations, charities and anyone who supports our mission:
HELPING COMMUNITY CONNECT
If you'd like to join STIG’S ARMY® that would be awesome! First you’ll need to do some simple and fun training (if you’re not already qualified). We’ll play some fun games together to help you. Anyone can join in. This platform has been developed in line with Connect and Care wellbeing workplace and community training. Our army HEADQUARTERS are based in the Wakatipu, NEW ZEALAND. We continue to reach out whilst practicing kindness and respect. Our only criteria is that you do the same when commenting on the page. Thank you for supporting our mission. LET’S DO THIS TOGETHER AS A COMMUNITY. Please follow all guidelines and advice from the NZ Ministry of Health regarding Covid 19.
