The Mill Queenstown is designed for all levels of fitness, from dedicated gym-goers to those just starting their journey.

This Queenstown gym features 1,200m² of strength, conditioning and varied training zones, including free weights, machines, racks and platforms.

Group Cycle combines music, visual effects and performance data, featuring TM Connect — the world’s first indoor cycling bike that tracks your workout.

Group Training sessions incorporate functional and high-intensity training, including strength, agility, speed and endurance, with TM Connect to track your data.

You’ll also find indoor turf, mezzanine and functional training areas, plus outdoor training with a 40m sprint track, lifting rigs and functional outdoor equipment.

We were delighted to interview Rueben Thompson who has been training with us at The Mill

Tell us a bit about yourself:

‘I’m a 24 year old cyclist from Queenstown. I’ve always had a knack for endurance sports initially taking my triathlon pretty seriously until 18 years old when I made the switch to cycling to chase the World Tour dream. I’m now based in Europe almost all year round and am going into my 4th year racing on the World Tour in 2026.’

What’s your biggest goal for 2026?

‘My biggest goal for 2026 is to stay healthy and injury free which is something I haven’t been able to do since making the step up to World Tour in 2023. Hopefully if I can get this right the results will follow.’

Why do you train at The Mill?

‘I train at the Mill because of the massive range of
and I’ve been to a fair few in my time as an athlete now. Plus the fact that I can see Heather who I’ve trusted for nearly 6 years for sports massage and Pete for physio if I ever have any niggles. All under the same roof! It makes it the ultimate space to supplement my training out on the road.’

After a heavy training crash in November, Ruby came home facing a very tight timeline.
