I recently attended a Feldenkrais workshop, where I got to experience the transformative benefits of the Feldenkrais Method!.

This gentle movement and sensory awareness approach can:

* help you find ease in movement
* Reduce pain
* Improve athletic performance
* Improve posture
* Enhance overall wellbeing

I think it would be especially beneficial for:
* Chronic Illness
* Limited mobility
* Asthma
* Elderly
* Wheel chair bound

By recognising the brain-body connection, Feldenkrais helps your muscle, skeletal, and nervous system work in synergy.

If you have had a treatment with me, I would have talked to you about fascia

What a wonderful Conference in Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills.

Highlights were plentiful, from keynote speaker Heather Edmonds’ beautiful and moving talk to thought-provoking presentations by Ivan Copley, John Coleman, Barry Vautier, Christos Miliankos and UTS Research Fellows Barb Beacham and Eleanor Oyston. To witnessing human/animal Bowen therapist Heather Hartley who demonstrated Bowen Therapy on several types of live animals at the venue - including several dogs, four Roosters and a couple of sprightly goats, and that was just day 1!!!!
Day 2 was informative and presentations were delivered from Chris Reed, Tito Pignetti, Tanya Pfitzner, Megan Paisley, Tina Renfrew and Maxine Smith
Some great networking opportunities

Oedema
I completed an information workshop (7.8.2021) on oedema
What is lymphoedema? Lymphedema is the abnormal build-up of fluid in soft tissue due to a blockage in the lymphatic system.
What causes lymphoedema? Primary lymphedema - is a rare, inherited condition caused by problems with the development of lymph vessels in your body. Secondary lymphedema –occurs as a result of; injury, trauma, surgery or cancer treatments that affects the lymphatic system.
What is lipoedema? Lipoedema is an inherited condition that is characterised by bilateral and symmetrical enlargement of the lower limbs. It is a condition that causes excess fat to accumulate in the lower part of the body, it most often involves the buttocks, thighs, and calves. The upper arms can also be affected. The condition does not affect the hands or feet.
What causes lipoedema? The exact cause of lipoedema is unknown. But the condition runs in families and may be inherited. The condition occurs almost exclusively in women, and usually starts or gets worse at the time of puberty, pregnancy, or menopause.
If you have any concerns around this let me know so I can take extra time with you during your next appointment to discuss symptoms and help with your treatment plan.

October is done and dusted, unbelievable how fast this year seems to have flown by!
October seems to have been the month of shoulders for me.
some of my clients knowing that they were going to have surgery came to see me prior to their surgery to get their bodies in aliment and in the best possible place for their recovery/healing.
on treating them post surgery we all notice that the biggest improvement comes when I am able to do the scar tissue release on them.
