Murray McGeorge Toy Library

The toy library is located on the corner of Athol place in Ravensbourne and open from 2-4pm Saturdays. Fees vary from library to library.

Toy Libraries offer a range of quality toys, puzzles, games and learning activities for members to hire for a set period of time. In NZ our toy libraries mainly cater for children 0-8 years. Many libraries also stock games, puzzles, sport, musical and other play items suitable for the entire family. Some therapeutic toy libraries such as those run by CCS focus on children with special needs. Toy Libraries are run by a group of volunteers for the benefit of children in your community.

We are back open for 2026 today (14th Feb) from 2-4pm. We can’t wait to see you all back for another fun year.

Today is our last day open for the year and we will return February 2026. Hire some toys today and return them next year when we reopen.

Wow, we say this every year but how are we in December already?
We only have today (6th December) and next Saturday 13th left for 2025.

Come grab some toy hires to last you over the silly season.

Needing a present for a child or family? A toy library membership is only $20 for the year which gives you $1 toy hires.

(No hidden requirement for volunteering shifts (unless you want to join our volunteer group).

Today is World Sustainable Toy Day.

Toy library’s are such a wonderful way to explore a range of toys. We are especially lucky to get toy donations from members of our direct and wider community.

Got a board game loving child at home and want to explore some new games?? We have a range of different games for you to try out (this is a small selection). From ages 3 -8 years.

Open Saturday 8th from 2pm-4pm.

Memberships $20 for a year for a family with toy hires being $1 for 2 weeks (longer over summer holidays).

What’s going to be the hot pick today? Outside toys or inside toys?

Toy library is great for limited space and storage issues and perfect for keeping the kids engaged and interested.

Come down and check us out between 2-4pm.

We have had some wonderful donations by members recently and all these toys are available to hire.
Our hire rates are $1 a toy or 50 cents a puzzle.
