Spinal Flow with Dennise Spinal Flow is a gentle holistic technique which identifies and releases blockages, caused by chemical, physical and/or emotional stress.

These blockages impact the nervous system and once released, allows the body to heal. I am so excited to bring this technique of healing to you! Is it normal to feel tired or exhausted after a Spinal Flow session?

This is such a beautiful and common question I get asked 💛

Yes — it can be completely normal to feel tired after a Spinal Flow session… and even the next day.
Here’s why 👇

Spinal Flow works directly with your nervous system. When your body shifts out of “fight or flight” mode and into “rest, repair and regulate,” it can finally exhale.
And when the body finally feels safe enough to relax…
It often chooses rest.

Sometimes that looks like:
• Feeling sleepy
• Wanting an early night
• Feeling heavy or slow
• Emotional release
• Deep calm

Your body may be using that time to:
✨ Integrate changes
✨ Release stored stress
✨ Repair and rebalance
✨ Redirect energy toward healing

Think of it like this…
If you’ve been running on adrenaline for months (or years), and suddenly your nervous system switches into healing mode, your body might say, “Oh wow… we can finally rest now.”
That tiredness isn’t something going wrong.
It can be a sign your system is recalibrating.

The colour of the water, the native bush, the early morning chorus of birds & cicadas the summer light, and that sense that everything is gently exhaling after the rush of the year before.

Spinal Flow sessions here feel extra special. 💖

I want to take a moment to say thank you to every one of you for allowing me to be part of your healing journey throughout 2025. It’s truly been an honour to support you, witness your progress, and hold space for your body to do what it does best — heal 💛

Spinal Flow sessions in Richmond/Nelson have now finished for the year, and I’ll be taking a short break to rest and reset. I’ll be back and ready to welcome you again in the new year 🌿

Starting the day with cacao is a beautiful way to support the nervous system. Cacao contains natural compounds that calm the body and enhance focus, helping to shift us out of “fight or flight” and into a more balanced state.

🌿 In Spinal Flow, we also work to calm the body’s stress response and restore communication through the spine and nerves. When the body feels safe, energy can flow, healing can occur, and we begin the day from a state of alignment and ease. 💖💖💖

My Morning Ritual with Mother Cacao 🤎

Most mornings begin slowly for me now.
Not rushing to “get on with the day,”
but easing into it…
arriving in my body first, before the world asks anything of me.

I warm the water.
I mix the cacao.
I breathe while it melts.
A tiny ceremony in the kitchen.

This isn’t about productivity or “starting strong.”
It’s about remembering myself.

Cacao has this way of softening me from the inside out.
She opens the heart, gently never forcing, never pushing just inviting me to return.

As I drink, I ask:
How is my heart this morning?
What do I need to feel supported today?
Where can I slow down, even just a little?

Some days the answers are clear.
Some days they arrive later.
Either is okay.

This ritual is my reminder that I’m not here to outrun my life.
I’m here to live it.
To feel it.
To move with it.

If your mornings feel rushed or heavy,
maybe you could try a tiny pause.
Just a breath.
A quiet moment.
A hand to your own heart.

You deserve to meet yourself gently.
