As we near closer to the end of 2020, and the beginning of the new year, no doubt many of us are starting to consider our New Years resolutions, and what we would like to achieve in the coming year.

But, it's important to remember that making a change is not just a conscious decision. In fact, the conscious mind makes up only 10-20% of overall brain power - the rest is dominated by the subconscious mind.

So, if you want to achieve permanent change, you have to harness the power of your subconscious mind. This is where your emotions, desires and habits live - and believe it or not, they are much stronger than your conscious thoughts!

That means that, unless you teach yourself to change these, achieving your resolutions or goals will be inevitably challenging.

And that's exactly where hypnotherapy comes in. Communicating with your subconscious is the absolute core of hypnotherapy - which is why hypnotherapy is a great tool to use, to help you to achieve your goals. Hypnotherapy will not only enable you to dismantle some subconscious mind programming, which is holding you back from realising your potential and achieving your goal, but it will also enable you to get your subconscious on board and in sync with your conscious goals.

So, if you would really like to step into your personal power in 2021, and achieve all that you dream of, get in touch with me today.

Most people's understanding of hypnosis is based on what goes on during a stage show - where volunteers from the audience may cluck like chickens, dance with brooms or sing like Tina Turner.

And we certainly understand why this wouldn't exactly inspire you to look at using hypnotherapy to deal with personal problems! In fact, if that was all we knew about hypnosis, we'd probably be pretty scared of it!

Luckily, that's not quite what hypnotherapy is! So, to help you better understand it, we thought we'd go over some of the fears we commonly come across, and break these down.

Firstly, many people worry about getting stuck in a trance and not being able to snap out of it. But, hypnosis is a naturally occurring state that we enter and exit every single day. The worst that could possibly happen is that you drift into natural sleep and wake up soon afterwards.

Another major fear is losing control, and being made to do things against their free will, during hypnotherapy. But, in reality, as hypnotherapists, we can't make you do anything you don't want to. Although you may not be paying attention to your surroundings during hypnosis, you will still be in charge of your own actions, behaviours, and statements.

The main thing to know is that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. This means that there’s only one person in the world that can ever hypnotise you – you! Hypnotists don’t have magic powers. We don’t zap people with a hypnotic ray. All we do is guide you through a series of steps which helps you to achieve a state of hypnosis.

If you'd like to discuss some of your concerns with me further, or learn more about hypnotherapy and what it can do for you, get in touch with me today.

Imagery, defined as a focused practice that involves each of the five senses to ignite positive healing messages throughout the mind and body, is an incredibly powerful technique.

With imagery, images are built in the mind that, to your body and nervous system, are actually indistinguishable from physical reality. In fact, research has proven that the mere visualisation of a muscle movement in the mind can create electrical activity in that muscle, and that activity shows extremely close resemblance to what is seen during the actual movement.

Imagery is at the core of hypnotherapy. In fact, hypnotherapy is a method of inducing a state of heightened relaxation and awareness, which, when achieved, provides an ideal mental environment to practice imagery.

These inner images actually affect all of your behaviors – your thoughts, emotions, and even the behavior of the cells of your body. So, the use of imagery in hypnotherapy can help you see a desired reality, feel it, and then become it.

Overall, this process can help accesses your inner strengths, increase insight, stimulate change, and support your own healing, while gaining a broader perspective of past and current circumstances - ultimately paving the way for a more empowered future.

If you would like to experience the power of imagery in hypnotherapy for yourself, get in touch today.

Do you dream of increasing your self-worth and self-confidence?

Well, I have great news for you - hypnotherapy can help you overcome low self-esteem and build self-worth!

Both self-esteem and self-worth are formed by past experiences. Through receiving messages, both positive and negative, from both your parents and peers, you would have taught yourself how to feel about your abilities in various situations.

But, as a hypnotherapist, I can help you create positive changes in your perception of self.

During hypnosis, I can guide you in redirecting your attention to your subconscious mind, where low self-worth develops and festers, so that you can not only better understand your beliefs, but also, discover their underlying root cause.

Then, during the deep relaxation of the hypnotic state, when you are more receptive to update your views of yourself, I can present hypnotic suggestions, visualisations and other techniques to help you release negative thought patterns, and nourish the development of positive attitudes, feelings, beliefs and actions necessary for healthy self-esteem.

So, if you would like to learn how to switch off the destructive voices of low self-esteem and self-worth, and powerfully transform yourself, so that you can live the life that you want, get in touch with me today.

Stage hypnotism and the portryal of hypnosis in the media have created many myths and misunderstandings around the true nature of hypnotherapy.

So today, we thought I would break down some of the myths that I frequently come across.

Myth 1: A hypnotherapist can control your mind.
No one can control your mind. As a hypnotherapist, I can give you suggestions - but, if you don’t agree, or don’t understand these, your subconscious mind will automatically reject it.

Myth 2: A hypnotherapist can make you do things against your free will.
Again, you are actually aware of what is happening during hypnosis - which means you are always in control.

Myth 3: If you become hypnotised, you may not be able to snap out of it.
No one has ever become stuck in a hypnotic trance. Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state that we enter and exit every single day. The worst that could possibly happen is that you drift into natural sleep and wake up soon afterwards.

Myth 4: You won't remember what happened.
You may not remember every word you hear during a hypnotherapy session (just like you won't remember every word from a conversation with a friend, or every line from a movie), but, your subconscious mind will be taking in everything it needs (and wants) to.

Myth 5: Not everyone can get hypnotised.
Some people tend to believe that they cannot get hypnotised. However, since hypnosis is a natural state, everyone can experience it, if they want to.

If you would like to learn more about hypnotherapy, and experience it for yourself, get in touch with me today.

Fear is incrediblly powerful. It can prevent us from achieving our goals and living our best lives, and it can keep us from taking advantage of opportunities.

So, what would you do if you had no fear?

Take a moment to imagine what a life free from your constraints would look like. What would you be capable of? What would you be doing?

Well guess what ... that life is possible. And I can help you achieve it.

Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool in overcoming fears. In fact, the aim of hypnotherapy is to communicate with the subconscious - where fears live, and change the way you feel and behave towards your fear.

Through relaxation techniques and gentle suggestions, hypnotherapy can help you unlearn the fear response, and ultimately, create positive behavioural changes that can help you conquer the phobia.

If you have a fear of any kind, why not consider hypnotherapy to help you free yourself from these self-imposed limitations? Get in touch today and I can help.

We live our lives according to our beliefs.

These beliefs are formed from our personal experiences and the feedback we receive from others, right from the moment we're born.

There are two types of beliefs: those which are positive, and can/will empower you to greatness, and those which are limiting.

Limiting belefs typically begin with "I can't" or "I'm not" and they will generally keep you stuck in a life that is unfulfilling and lacking the happiness you deserve.

But the good news is, you have the power to defeat those limiting beliefs, and replace them with fulfilling beliefs that encourage and empower you.

And hypnotherapy can help you do just that. Hypnotherapy offers tools and techniques with which you can access your subconscious mind, which is where these beliefs reside. Through the power of suggestion, your attachment to your limiting beliefs can be weakened, and new, more positive ideas can be implanted in their place.

So, if you feel that certain beliefs are making you unhappy, or limiting your life in some way, then it is time to do something about it. Get in touch with me today, and I can help you out.
