Good morning beautiful wāhine 🌿
I have been walking gently through sacred holiday space — returning to the embrace of te taiao, moving with the rhythm of water, earth, and breath. Long walks, quiet swims, and deep reflection have wrapped around me like a cloak, offering a rest my wairua had long been calling for.
Some of you may not know that I experienced a profound loss over Christmas, with the passing of my niece on Christmas Day. Her journey — and my grief — has carried deep symbolism, opening places within me that have shifted at a cellular level. Through this tender season, I have listened closely to what true self-care feels like in my body. I have learned that self-care is not one shape or one story — it is personal, sacred, and ever-changing.
At the beginning of my holiday, I imagined filling my calendar with massage. Yet I had to stop and truly honour what my body was saying. We live so fast that sometimes we forget — or no longer hear — the quiet messages from our mind, body, and soul. Choosing to listen became part of my healing.
Now, as this chapter of rest begins to close, I am opening my table for two gentle days before I travel to Nelson to reconnect with my holistic pulsing and massage community — a weaving together of learning, presence, and renewal.
