Worry can really be a tough thing to deal with. In my family, worrying is how we show that we love each other. If you aren’t worried, how can you care, right?! As well intentioned as that sentiment is (and I know it is ;-) ), it can easily blossom into a destructive pattern.
Worry causes stress and anxiety, which can lead to an imbalance of the mind, body and spirit and a blockage in the root chakra.
Luckily, there are several good practices that you can use to deal with worry before it has a chance to weaken you.
The first thing to do when you are worried is to make sure that you have taken all of the action steps that you can to help ensure a positive outcome to the situation. You often have more power to affect change than you realize and are rarely helpless to whatever happens.
The next thing you can do is use positive affirmations and visualizations to put good, encouraging energy towards getting the outcome you desire. That’s the exact opposite of worry. Worrying is putting all sorts of negative energy out into the Universe towards getting the outcome you do NOT want. So every time you feel worry coming up, try to counteract it with some positive thoughts.
Also, try to surround yourself with positive people and situations so that worry becomes less of a go-to response and instead, hope becomes your default setting.
If you practice , you have another amazing tool with which to counteract worry. If there’s something that you’re worried about, simply send Reiki to that thing with the intention of it being for the highest and greatest good of all. Then, no matter what the outcome is in the end, you can be assured that all is as it should be.
I think that most of us have experienced events that at first seemed negative, but eventually turned out for the best, often in surprising ways. So keep an open mind, keep sending Reiki, if you can, and relax!
