I think I may be addicted to upskilling and attending courses 🥴 I attended a great course in the weekend on pelvic health Physiotherapy and I’m now feeling super inspired to do more and more (as if I needed any more inspiration- you couldn’t shut me up about it before 😂). I am already booked in to another 3 pelvic health courses this year 😍 I am always open for conversation, get in touch if you have any questions about pelvic health, incontinence, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse or anything else… my inbox is always open 😊

Hi 👋 it’s been a while since I posted BUT you may have seen on my stories that I recently did a weekend (and some) of webinars all about the most current up to date research regarding the childbearing year (antenatal and postnatal). Physiotherapy is an evidence based practice so I was totally inspired by what I learnt on the research update!!! Research shows that getting pelvic health Physiotherapy antenatally can help influence our birthing experience and shape our postpartum recovery, so although some of us are great at seeking pelvic health Physiotherapy postpartum, perhaps we should be getting help in the antenatal period (and then maybe we wouldn’t need so much input postnatally 🤷‍♀️🤔😉). Send me a message if you would like more information (and you may not be able to get me stop talking 🙊) Flashback photo to just over three years ago 🤰

Hello everyone!

Just a quick note to let everyone know that I am currently booking out at least 2-3 weeks in advance. I have a huge list of referrals waiting to get booked in and therefore if you have an ACC injury needing physio, you may be best to go to Bulls, Marton or Ohakune to be seen more quickly. You can claim for travel through ACC also as I know petrol and diesel prices are crazy at the moment!

I am doing my best and trying to maximise my time in clinic as much as possible however I can only do what I can do, so please do not be offended if I say I am unable to see you for a long period of time (or book you in at present).

It's going to be busy until the end of the year and soon 2023 will be here!

Let's hope the sun keeps shining :)

ACC will finally be covering maternal birth injuries from childbirth as of 1st October! Please reach out if you have any questions or get in touch if I can be of any help!

I am super passionate about helping treat our new (and old and all women…) mamas and want to support you all as best I can ❤️

More women and birthing parents will now receive cover from ACC if they suffer an injury during childbirth.

We had a big scare with our little boy this past weekend resulting in him and me being flown in the air ambulance to Wellington. He is mostly all better now thanks to some amazing health professionals both in Wellington and Whanganui but I have taken the week off to care and be there for him. If your appointment was cancelled via text message, apologies but I will be in touch when I can to rebook it for you. Thanks for your understanding, Lucy 🌸

Good evening!

I have been rather absent on this page; things are very busy at the moment. However I thought a good start to inform people that, as of 1st July 2022, Taihape Physiotherapy will be increasing it's fees aligning with inflation and the rising cost of living. I have not had to change my fees in the last five years but alas, now is the time.

So from the 1st July 2022 ACC surcharge will be $30 ($25 for gold card and $20 for under 18s) and private appointments $70.

Also, over the past few years I have been working away learning and developing a keen interest of mine in pelvic health physiotherapy, attending courses and studying online. I am eager to get the word out there, to help women in our region. If you have any incontinence, leaking, urgency, pelvic pain, pelvic floor dysfunction or concern with pelvic organ prolapse please get in touch at how I may be able to help- confidentiality assured of course.

Keep warm! With thanks

Lucy :)
