A trip to the most southern point of the North Island and Cape Palliser Lighthouse, up and down 254 steps (that was what I counted anyway). An interesting fact, the second handrail was only installed in 2020.

Plenty of seals, including pups and very protective bulls and cows. Interesting observation was the lack of parental supervision of toddlers near nesting cubs.

Thoughts on how a P2 Half Mask can achieve P3 filtration? This picture from fit testing this week demonstrates why fit testing and training is so important, as an incorrect size, type or poorly fitted respirator is simply putting workers at risk.

Self Contained Breathing Apparatus are positive pressure respirators, but still require fit testing because they are close/tight fitting, meaning the seal against the face is an important part of the system and overall protection factor. Here is a Scott SCBA, converted to negative pressure for the fit test.
