MEET THE TEAM.
Justin Rae – Funeral Director & Celebrant
Born and raised in Napier, I live in Taradale with my wife and two children and love calling Hawke’s Bay home. With over 30 years in radio broadcasting, I bring strong communication skills and a deep connection to the community. I’m passionate about supporting local clubs and groups and enjoy music, cooking, gardening, and all things radio-controlled.
Julie O’Brien – General Manager & Funeral Director
Originally from the UK, I moved to New Zealand in 1999 and quickly fell in love with Hawke’s Bay. My background spans veterinary nursing and emergency medical care, including six years as a St John Ambulance volunteer and three as a full-time EMT. These experiences inspired my commitment to helping families through loss with compassion and care, ensuring every farewell is meaningful and personal.
Katrina Wyatt – Funeral Director
A lifelong Taradale local, I’m proud to serve the community I’ve always called home. Outside of work, I enjoy DIY projects, fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends. I view funeral service as a true calling — one that requires empathy, respect, and integrity. It’s a privilege to support families during life’s most difficult times.
Michele Allison – Office Administrator & Funeral Assistant
A proud Hawke’s Bay local, I’ve spent most of my life here. Before raising five children, I worked in banking and finance, later developing a passion for gardening and landscaping. I bring organization, care, and warmth to my role supporting families and our team.
