Perinatal Support Nelson are such a wonderful organisation but like many charities supporting mental health and women they are at capacity.
Please check out the Directory for more options for supporting your mental health and wellbeing ❤️

It’s with heartfelt sadness that I share this update.

Our service is currently at full capacity due to an unprecedented volume of referrals and limited availability within our volunteer team. As a result, we are unable to accept any new referrals until January 6th, 2026.
Our office will still be open Monday and Wednesday 8.00am – 5.00pm.
We know this may bring disappointment, and we want to acknowledge the impact this will have on those seeking support. Like many in our sector, we are navigating a time of high demand and stretched capacity, and we are truly sorry for the disruption this may cause.
Referrals received during this period will not be processed and will be returned. In the meantime, we’ve attached a list of health services that may be able to offer support while we pause.
Thank you for your ongoing support, your compassion, and the vital mahi you do. If you have any questions or need further clarity, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Villages look a little different these days

They take time to build and sometimes they rarely ever look the same as someone else's

Filled with friends and family yes but also the village we invest in, our community, services and businesses that support us, the woman we by our handmade items off or the batista that serves us coffee.

Believing a village will just happen when you have a baby is often what catches a lot of women out.
Sure you probably have the foundation but important to know where your gaps are because as a mother you need emotional, physical, mental and spiritual support

Where are your gaps?

I live for these circles and the chaos, just being infill flow of parenting together.
Through the madness, the tears, the overwhelm, there is always connection and a special kind of magic that happens when you get Mamas in a room together ✨️

I loved chatting boundaries and how normal it is to have our toddlers pushing them.
I'd love to connect if you work with parents navigating this space

I love this post from Little Shadow, I'm all for improving postpartum support for all mums!

Tomorrow (Wednesday) is our next Motueka Mothers circle. This one's a juicy one, it's one of my favourite topics lately: Boundaries
..with our children, family, partners and friends. How do we show up for ourselves and put boundaries in place that offer safety and room to thrive?
This topic can bring up so much for people, it seems like a hot topic right now (or maybe that's just my friend group), but it is such an important part of how we show up as parents and in relationships. We'll have space to check in, share, and talk about how we hold boundaries in place or ways we're working to improve.

This is your space, show up as you are, share what you need and connect on a meaningful level with mamas that are figuring it out, just like you.

As always there's cake and coffee and your host Bekki from

So thankful to Tasman Council, COGS and Motueka lions for keeping these groups free and thriving 🙌🏻

One of the most asked questions I get is
'What are Mothers Circles?'

Well, in my opinion they are amazing opportunities to really connect to other mothers.
I started these circles when my son was 5months old and not only did they totally rewire my own brain for what mother to mother support could look like I know they've done the same for Mothers that attend.
How do I know?
Because they still showing up, as a high point of their month, as an investment in their own mental health and I'm so honoured I get to share their stories with them.

You can show up as you are, at whatever stage you're at. There's no judgement, just a bunch of mums cheering eachother on, drinking hot coffee and sharing their realities.

Every mother or birthgiver is welcome.
We can't wait to see you
