What an incredible day at the Matua Village Christmas Party! ❤️💚

We loved coming together to celebrate the festive season with our amazing community on Tuesday. The day was filled with laughter, music, and the joy of being surrounded by friends and neighbours. It was a true celebration of the spirit of Matua Village.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special — your smiles and good cheer made it unforgettable.

The bells are ringing at Matua Village this December! 🎄

Ho Ho Ho! We've got a calendar full of regular weekly fun, exciting outings, and one-off experiences for our residents to look forward to this month to keep you busy, connected and entertained!

🎅 Tuesday 2nd sees our annual Secret Santa & Christmas Luncheon return for another year!
🖌️ Tuesday 9th we're getting crafty with Christmas Ornament Decorating @ 11am!
📚 Wednesday 10th we're joined by guest speaker, Chris Nelson, and his new book "Once a Forest Ranger".
🍿 Thursday 11th we're getting together for a movie afternoon to watch "Red One" - popcorn included!
💡 Tuesday 16th we're hitting the road to check out the Christmas Light Trail around the neighbourhood.
🍦 She's back! Mrs Whippy will be serving delicious ice cream on Tuesday 23rd @ 2.30pm sharp!
🎉 We couldn't farewell 2025 without a friends & neighbours gathering on the 31st!

Our team are as much a part of the family as our residents. It's how we maintain such a close-knit, friendly and caring environment.

Meet Calley, our Assistant Gardner. Calley together with her sister Marita work tirelessly to ensure our gradens are always looking beautiful. If they are not knee-deep in a flower bed, they will be hard at work somewhere in the gardens or helping out with one of the residents' welfare checks or happy hours.

At Matua Village we conduct daily welfare checks.

Our daily welfare checks are carried out by our entire team every day of the week. Whether it's seeing you making your coffee at your bench as we pass by, giving you a phone call, stopping by for a visit, or even just a quick hello in the corridor. If you prefer, you can also text us each day to check in, or stop by the office.

As one of our residents family members recently said "It's reassuring to know that someone will be checking in every day to see if Dad's ok, including weekends and public holidays."

👂 Hearing Health is here on Tuesday 18th to talk about hearing wellbeing and the importance of early detection. They’ll be offering on-site hearing tests, complimentary hearing aid cleaning, free batteries, and information on financial support for hearing aids.
