A new year, yes we always jump to the changes we can make in one year.
As I get older, I feel like my life is less divided into years and more into seasons.
Some seasons are incredible, some are incredibly hard.
Some seasons last a couple months, some last a couple years.
But starting a new year always feels like an opportunity to start a new season with a new energy and I hope this season is a beautiful one for all of us.
Some things that I feel I really want to focus on for my next season.
1. Simple, easy to do small things can bring joy. For me, it’s walking or running in fresh air and listening to music that makes me feel all the good vibes!
2. Spend time with people who are there for you, who appreciate your energy, who fill your cup, who listen to you without judgement. There’s just not enough time in this life to spend it with people you aren’t aligned with.
3. Social media has made it impossible to understand people’s real lives. We see a fraction of what’s real and yet we often compare ourselves to that fraction. One thing I’ve learnt is that we and our lives are all completely different. So the only thing we can compare to is ourselves yesterday.
4. Why is this one so hard?
Trusting the unknown path ahead. Our brains only know what has happened in the past, so we want to control everything in the future because it’s scary to not know what’s ahead. But what I have discovered (from the book: The Surrender Experiment) is the more I let go of what tomorrow holds, the easier my life is seeming to get. It’s so hard to let go of that control but it also makes space for a bit of magic ✨💫
And the last one, I want this season to be a continuation of healing. There’s a lot of trauma in the works happening, and weather we’ve been affected directly or not, or had little t traumas or big T traumas, we all deserve to heal. We can’t see the impact sometimes because it’s not physical, but deep down we know if we need a bit of healing. There are so many ways to do this now and the only result is a beautiful, peaceful, loving heart, so why not? If we all healed our traumas and that of the universal energies, we’d override the hurt in the world 🙏🏼
